Our annual search to find the 100 most important people working within the event industry is back.

Whether you’re a corporate, agency chief, exhibition giant, Olympic organiser, association head, supplier, venue manager or freelancer we want to hear why you (or your colleague) deserve to be recognised amongst their peers as one of the top players in the industry.

The 2011 list featured the likes of Simon Dornan, head of PR and events for Virgin Media, and Clive Little director of events and programming for the Olympic Park Legacy Company, with , taking the top spot.

To apply you will need to explain, in no more that 500 words, why you are worthy of a place based on the following criteria over the past 12 months (from Oct 11 to Oct 12). Candidates can either put themselves forward, or have a colleague recommend them.

  • Best personal achievement or highlight within the event arena
  • Number of events organised/supplied
  • Types of events organised/supplied
  • Best event organised/contributed to
  • Revenue generated
  • Contribution to the industry
  • Number of awards/accolades won

Within those 500 words we’d also like to hear what you hope to achieve in 2013 and a recent client quote suggesting why they think you ought to be in the Event 100 Club. A high-resolution colour head and shoulders picture of the applicant must also be included.

Once all the entries have been collected, the names of the top 100 will be published.

Readers of Event will then be able to vote for their favourites, dictating the order of the chosen 100.

To take part, simply click here to email us your entry with the subject title Event 100 entry followed by the entrant's name. Please don’t forget to include all the information requested above, otherwise your entry may not be counted.

Submissions for this stage of the process will close at the end of the day Wednesday 24 October.
