Eurotunnel, which shuttles motorists and freight through the
Chunnel, is to offer guides on its site to daytrippers.
The new section, called Great Day Out, is available on
www.eurotunnel.co.uk and will highlight places to visit within a
two-hour drive of Coquelles, in France, where motorists disembark. It
will launch in the next couple of weeks.
Its addition comes at the same time as Eurotunnel draws up plans for a
site overhaul.
The Great Day Out section is part of a campaign to boost numbers using
the service, which attracted 2.8 million motorists and 80,000 coach
parties in 2000.
