Euro RSCG appoints Lepere as global marketing chief

LONDON - Euro RSCG Worldwide has brought in Marc Lepere to head up its global marketing and new-business development.

Lepere joins Euro RSCG as executive vice-president and chief marketing officer from McCann-Erickson Worldwide, where he was the executive vice-president responsible for business development.

At McCann-Erickson, he led the agency's $500m (拢298m) global Microsoft account and he has also held the roles of head of coordinated account and head of strategic planning, based in London.

Lepere will start his new job on November 17 in Euro RSCG's London office, working with strategic and business development teams at global, regional and local levels. He will report to Euro RSCG president and chief operating officer Jim Heekin.

Heekin said: "Marc is a proven international leader with an established track record in meeting key marketing challenges and in capitalising on business opportunities. His diverse background and experience developing and cultivating business with key global clients will make him a vital addition to our agency."

Lepere has also worked at advertising agency Collett, Dickenson, Pearce & Partners in London, where, as director of strategic planning, his clients included British Nuclear Fuels, Gallaher, Guardian Royal Exchange, Metropolitan Police Recruitment and Scottish & Newcastle Breweries.
