The insurance company, whose ads star Michael Winner, has previously used a number of agencies, including Red Cell, on a project basis for its direct work. The new appointment follows a two-week pitch process.
Esure has been using Winner since October 2002, when it shifted its advertising in-house. An Esure spokeswoman said its direct work would continue to feature the former film director.
Carat, Esure's media agency, and Carlson Digital, which handles online projects for the insurer, are unaffected by the appointment.
