House of ESI is a week-long event where the publisher will invite agencies to give them a chance to meet different senior members of the team and learn more about the business.
ESI will take over the Violin Factory on London’s Southbank between Monday and Friday this week, and will have three showings a day.
Dan Locke, chief agency strategy officer at ESI Media, explained that the company wanted to go further than a Powerpoint presentation and create an interactive experience.
Locke told ±±¾©Èü³µpk10: "We’ve made some bold decisions in our portfolio by selling the i. Closing the paper for the Independent meant that we could focus on the digital strength for it. We want to change perceptions of us as a business, we are a far developed media business."
He added that the publisher has "never done anything of this magnitude".
Agencies will be able to move between rooms to understand and meet people from various strands of the business. For example, ESI Media plans to introduce its events arm and show case studies of the work it has already done.
It will also launch Story Studio, its content arm led by Charlie Edelman. Locke explained that the company does not have specialist writers for this but asks its journalists to provide the content.
He said: "Story Studio is a perfect balance between editorial and how to create content for clients."
