Meara spent three years at global research firm ORC International as field manager and brings more than 10 years' experience of field operations and management experience to ESA with posts held at Field Management and BPRI, where she developed the company's internal field resource. She joins the company later this month.
Client service mystery shopping specialist Brazier, who has been at ESA for 18 months, will take on his role as project executive with immediate effect.
Tony Keen, ESA's chief executive, said: "Following our rapid growth over the past two years, 2005 will be a very important year for ESA. Attracting staff of the calibre of Tania to the company is essential to the continued development in the marketplace."
Established in 1979, ESA is an independent market research company specialising in retail and trade with clients including major supermarkets and leisure operators.
In 2003, ESA was the fastest growing of the top 25 market research agencies in the UK, with its £6m turnover representing a 35% increase on the previous year.
