Emma Bunton stars in Global's national Heart campaign

LONDON - Global Radio has unveiled the first major marketing effort for its newly formed national Heart network, with a campaign featuring presenter Emma Bunton.

The campaign will support the third and final phase of the Heart rollout, when nine stations join the network on 22 June. They include Southern FM, Ocean FM, Invicta FM, Essex FM, 2CR, Marcher Sound, Coast 96.3, Buzz 97.1 and Champion 103.

These stations will join 21 other stations, which became part of the Heart network in the first two phases earlier this year - together with the three original Heart stations in London, West Midlands and East Midlands - making a total of 33 networked stations.

The "Give it some Heart" TV and cinema ad has been designed to announce Heart in regions not previously exposed to the brand and has been refreshed with brand new scenes featuring Bunton.

The TV commercial will run across ITV1, Channel 4, GMTV and multichannel in every Heart region. In the Heart phase three regions such as Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset and Essex, the ad will also run in Odeon cinemas and will be supported by an outdoor campaign, including six-sheets, 48- sheets and 96-sheets. The media has been planned and bought by Rocket.

Bunton presents her own Saturday afternoon show from 4pm on the Heart network and the Friday drive-time show from 4pm on London Heart 106.2
