The company reported a 3% drop in first-half revenues, saying that although consumer advertising revenues rose 5% in the first half, this was offset by a 6% decline in revenues from its radio operations, which include dance music station Kiss FM.
Emap's French division, however, saw a 1% rise in circulation and a 6% increase in consumer advertising revenues, which it said were driven by its core TV listings and automotive titles.
The publisher of FHM and Heat reported that sales of its UK consumer titles have risen 10% on the same period last year. But it expects to see a slowdown in consumer magazine advertising revenues in the UK and France during the second half of the year.
