Elizabeth Arden unveils Zeta-Jones ads

LONDON - With a strapline reading 'What is beauty?', Elizabeth Arden has revealed its first work featuring the actress Catherine Zeta-Jones since she was signed as the face of the cosmetics giant in April.

Zeta-Jones signed a four-year contract to become the new face and spokeswoman for the global cosmetics and fragrance house in April.

Zeta-Jones will appear in the company's new "Open for Beauty" advertising campaign, with the first work appearing in the UK next month to tie in with the launch of a new Elizabeth Arden fragrance.

Zeta-Jones said: "I have read masses about Elizabeth Arden. She was a visionary. As Miss Arden said, to be beautiful and natural is the birthright of every woman and I wholeheartedly agree with her philosophy."

The previous face of Elizabeth Arden was blonde model Amber Valetta. Her contract was up two years ago, but the model continued to appear in various promotional shots for the company.

Elizabeth Arden's portfolio includes Red Door, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and 5th Avenue, as well as producing Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds and Passion.

The Welsh actress has starred in films such as 'Traffic', 'The Mask of Zorro' and 'Entrapment'.
