Electrolux shortlists four for £50m global review

The Swedish electrical company has named Grey Global, which is incumbent on the Electrolux floorcare in Europe; the Interpublic Group of Companies-owned Lowe & Partners, and two WPP Group networks in J Walter Thompson and Young & Rubicam.

Electrolux called the review last month and is working with international search consultancy Agency Assessments.

The review follows structural changes and a re-organisation within Electrolux that saw chief executive Hans Straberg launch a taskforce to review group strategy, including brand management.

BBH won the UK Electrolux account in 1993 with a brief to reposition Electrolux as a quality brand. BBH also won the pan-European account for Electrolux's AEG brand earlier this year.

Electrolux produces appliances for both inside and outside the home ranging from refrigerators and washing machines to chainsaws and lawnmowers. Its portfolio of brands includes Zanussi and Flymo among others.
