In amongst the acrobats, flyerers, living statues and ceilidh bands on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, a huge crowd swarmed round a red phone box and I could hear what sounded like a didgeridoo. Upon closer inspection I was amazed to discover that the sound was in fact being generated by the mouth of beatboxer Dave Crow.
After producing various drum and bass rhythms, his impressive performance culminated with the stunning feat of simultaneously playing the harmonica at the same time, much to the delight of the crowd.
After googling him when I got home I discovered that he'd appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2008 gaining three votes from the judges.
His act could do with a bit of work. I mean, he's no Nathan "Flutebox" Lee (flute playing beatboxer), but in a short stint would work well for a five to eight minute slot.
