Most read: the Apple iPhone 6s event (obviously)
Even after the fact, Brand Republic readers have been scanning to get up to date with the technology brand's announcements. Marketing's Shona Ghosh, fresh (ahem, tired) from live blogging, has digested the news into . And they are:
- Consumers can shop on Apple TV
- Navigation is changing
- Apple is pushing its fashion credentials
- Even Steve Jobs couldn't predict the future
The last one is a mite controversial. Apple have included a smart stylus with the iPad Pro, but Steve Jobs once said: "It's like we said on the iPad, if you see a stylus, they blew it." Of course, that was then….
Over on The Wall, John Brown, head of engagement at Hotwire, explains why Neat trick, that. We tried not caring about social media once. Didn't work out.
People moves: Haines joins London Advertising, BBH's Rudd joins O&M London
Two big announcements on the people moves front. First , 北京赛车pk10's James Swift reports. Haines is tasked with helping the 12-person agency in its next phase of growth.
北京赛车pk10's Gurjit Degun writes that , succeeding Cheryl Giovannoni. He will report to Annette King, the chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather Group UK, and will sit on the board.
There's more today, including , and .
Dave Trott: Control the context
Did you know that Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan launched their live musical careers in the UK by playing tiny venues in places like Barnsley and Aberdeen? Dave Trott does, and he helpfully explains how . Of course, you could just watch the video for Especially for You.
Technology: The tech that changed my life
As adland's digital natives decamp to Cologne for a few days to talk about bridging the "digiconomy" (shouldn't that be e-conomy?) at Dmexco, 北京赛车pk10 asked the industry about . We like this answer from Michael Sugden, chief executive of VCCP.
My rational answer is TeuxDeux but my emotional answer is different. Very few of us will die wishing we had seen more PowerPoint presentations. PowerPoint is the modern equivalent of the lobotomy. Along with its devil-child offspring, Clip Art and WordArt, PowerPoint has the ability to numb entire audiences into a form of the living dead. PowerPoint is evil. Which is why Keynote is the tech/app that has made the biggest difference to my professional life. It works, you can be creative and you never have to use PowerPoint ever again.

Innovations: The edible billboard
We've had , but we'll take the edible billboard any day. Nakd have built messaging out of their own product at the Westfield Shepherd’s Bush Eat Street, and the public are free to grab any bar that takes their fancy.
Phew! What a busy morning we've had putting together our Edible Billboard - can you spot yours?
— Nakd Wholefoods (@nakd)
It's all part of a £300,000 integrated marketing campaign which includes press advertising, experiential, underground 48 sheets, digital display, PR and social media. The campaign was created by Nakd’s retained media agency independent shop Total Media, and included work by creative agency YOLK Creative London, experiential agency psLIVE and social media agency MEC.
Most importantly, though, the free bars are available until tomorrow. If you live or work near Shepherd’s Bush you know what to do (grab a few for us and send them our way).
