Earlier this year, the Churchill dog starred alongside TV personalities Roy Walker, Rolf Harris and Melanie Sykes, each time referring to unlikely anecdotes from the character.

The first in the new series features Eddie the Eagle, who famously represented Great Britain at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary.

The Churchill dog is seen sitting on a ski lift, on his way to rescue Eddie, who is stuck up a tree. It promotes a 50% discount on home insurance.

The TV ad, which launches on 26 December, can be seen at the brand's YouTube page, www.youtube.com/thechurchilldog.

Over the past month, the Churchill dog has appeared in over 20 pantomime productions across the UK, in partnership with Qdos Entertainment.
