The Economist "Mandela's walk" by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO

The Economist has released an interactive film celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela. Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO created the spot, which was shot in the UK and shows groups of people placing objects on the ground in a field. At the end of the ad, the camera pans out to show that the items have created a likeness of Mandela. Users can then click on the objects, which link to articles from The Economist about the former South African leader. The British poet Benjamin Zephaniah provides the voiceover. The work was created by Mark Fairbanks and Thiago De Moraes, and directed by Anders Jedenfors through Acne Production.
