The Economist to mail out issues on demand

The Economist has launched a one-off, next-day delivery service that enables readers to receive a copy of the weekly magazine without having to take out a subscription.

With Economist Direct, issues can be ordered online or by text message. The first order is free and further issues will be charged at the 拢4 cover price with free postage.

The Economist launched a cinema campaign last month to raise awareness of its content. The push will be widened in the autumn to include press ads and online activity.
