The event has been backed by Richard Lochhead, cabinet secretary for rural affairs and the environment, and will showcase the diversity of Scotland's regional produce.
Slater said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in developing a flagship event for one of Scotland's most important industries. RHASS is a unique organisation and together I am confident we will create an exceptional showcase for Scottish food and drink."
