The global campaign created by Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam will run across TV, cinema, website, banner, email and print channels.
The game, which is released on 14 November, is played through a character called Faith who 'free runs' across a fictitious city to avoid detection from a totalitarian regime.
The creative utilises the tagline 'There's No Looking Back' and banner campaign in particular mimics the nature of the game by replicating the feeling of vertigo, with the actual web browser falling away, according to account director Jesses Long.
Last week EA Games held a promotional event for the video game at Trafalgar Square with the man credited with founding the movement of 'free running', Sebastian Foucan.
