Dunning Eley Jones fought it out against Lambie-Nairn and English & Pockett for the brief. The project includes the design and production of the on-screen and web identity, print and promotional material and exhibition stands as well signage and head office interiors.
The channel, which is editorially independent, will carry programmes on teacher training and development, resources for the classroom and education news. It will be available on Sky Digital, cable and Freeview from early 2005.
It is being funded by the Department for Education and Skills and is operated by a consortium, which includes ITV, the Institute of Education and Brook Lapping Productions.
Dunning Eley Jones was formed in June 2003 by a breakaway from Lambie-Nairn. Last month, it picked up branding work for the UKTV network of channels.
Liz Dunning, partner at Dunning Eley Jones, said: "We are really excited to be involved in the launch of this innovative and unique service."
