Curtis-Johnson previously held the role of PR manager at the company. He told Event that the new position will see him work more strategically, building on Drp’s representation in the industry, looking for new marketing opportunities and managing the marketing budget.

He will also look to pass sales opportunities to the business development team through marketing activity.

Curtis-Johnson will head up a team of three and is currently on the lookout for a PR and social media executive.

The news comes as the agency today (5 January) announced it ended 2015 with a turnover of £15m, a figure up 20% from 2014. This year will see Drp grow its team further, and investment in improved resources and facilities.

Curtis-Johnson said: "I'm excited to start my new role; 2015 was a fantastic year for Drp with us  [anniversary]. This position shall be a great challenge for me professionally and I look forward to building my team and seeing what 2016 has in store for us and the industry."
