Draft London unveils biggest online push for Saab sales drive

Saab is launching an integrated campaign, which includes the brand's biggest online marketing push, to boost sales when new registration plates are released in September.

The online campaign, through Draft London, focuses on the 9-3 Sports Saloon and Convertible and the 9-5 Saloon and Estate models.

Online ads aim to show that the models are more affordable because of special offers.

One of the ads, a full-screen pop-up, features a cluster of butterflies flying across the screen. The copy reads: "A range of turbos means butterflies come as standard." This is followed by a picture of the 9-3 convertible and the line: "Convertible by name, convertible by nature."

Another pop-up shows moving images of the different models. These are then replaced with copy that explains they are all on special offer. Underneath the name of each model a drop-down panel gives details of the offers.

The ads were written by Andrew Forsyth and art directed by Jake Rusznyak.

The digital element was designed by Helen Wallace. They will run across sites including Lastminute.com, WhatCar.co.uk and Handbag.com.

The campaign will be supported by mailpacks.
