Eskimo will work with Essex County Council and Chelmsford Borough Council in partnership with performance specialists Walk the Plank on Sparks Will Fly, a series of 15 events around the UK from May-June.
It will engage with up to 175,000 people and will culminate in an outdoor finale of fireworks, special effects and performance to coincide with the Olympic torch’s arrival in Chelmsford.
Eskimo also won the design contract for The Moment When…, three outdoor performance projects produced by Cheshire Dance and Walk the Plank. The campaign takes place across Cheshire, Warrington and the North West from 10 February with the main events anticipated to draw crowds of up to 25,000.
Eskimo will create the visual identity for both campaigns as well as digital and print marketing materials.
Mark Janson, creative managing director at Eskimo said: "The road to London 2012 is an exciting time, winning both projects was a great moment for Eskimo. The chance to work on two large-scale creative campaigns that will engage with thousands of people, that are also part of the London 2012 Festival, Cultural Olympiad and Olympic torch relay celebrations is a fantastic opportunity. Both campaigns are fun, positive and hugely creative and we can’t wait for them to go live."
