DoH battles STIs through activity at beach resorts

LONDON - The Department of Health is warning young Britons abroad of the risk of picking up sexually transmitted infections through casual holiday sex, with a direct marketing campaign.

The activity is part of the DoH's adult sexual health campaign. It was created by integrated marketing agency Iris and targets young people through the distribution of condoms, scratchcards and posters at resorts.

The agency has also produced 100,000 coathangers which will be placed on hotel doors across resorts such as San Antonio in Ibiza, warning of the risks of casual unprotected sex.
