Broadsystem will take on the personalised printing, mailing and fulfilment of the "Sponsor a dog" enquiry and welcome packs. It will print, match, fulfil and post all packs within a maximum 48-hour period following the initial customer enquiry.
The speed and the degree of personalisation are crucial, according to Adrian Burder, Dogs Trust marketing director.
Burder said: "The decision to sponsor a dog is an emotional one and so, to build trust, a highly personalised approach is necessary to effectively connect with the sponsors. It is also vital to act with speed captivating the consumer while their interest levels are at their peak."
The emphasis on personalisation means there will be 98 possible variations in each mailing, including differences such as whether the recipient is an enquirer, a sponsor or a gift recipient as well as subtler personal variations.
Welcome packs include a personalised certificate with a photograph of the sponsored dog, a sponsorship card, a fridge magnet, a window sticker and Wag magazine delivered three times a year.
Dogs Trust is totally dependent on voluntary donations and looks after 14,000 dogs at 17 rehoming centres across the UK every year.
