The 'Doctor Who' Christmas Day special follows the show's recent guest appearance as part of BBC One's 'Children in Need' where the current Doctor, David Tennant, met former Doctor, Peter Davidson.

In the Christmas special of 'Extras', Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have signed up George Michael and Clive Owen among others as guest stars.
'Top Gear' favourite Richard Hammond comes face-to-face with an American stunt legend in 'Richard Hammond Meets Evel Knievel'.
There are more comebacks, as Penelope Keith and Peter Bowles return in a one-off of the 70s hit sitcom 'To the Manor Born'.

Film wise, the BBC has a strong Hollywood offering with the likes of 'Shrek II', 'Finding Nemo' and 'Meet the Fockers' on BBC One while BBC Two has 'Girl with a Pearl Earring', 'The History Boys' and 'Sin City'. BBC Three has a Quentin Tarantino season on BBC Three and on BBC Four 'Les Choriste' as part of its dance season.
