The Telephone Preference Service Limited has won a five-year tender to manage TPS and FPS following a competitive tender process. Under the terms of the new contract, TPS will also be responsible for providing the new Corporate TPS. From 25 June companies making unsolicited sales and marketing calls will have to ensure they screen the data against corporate TPS. - For more information contact tessa@dma.org.
EURO PROMOTION TALK
Following a meeting with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to discuss the latest draft of the proposed Sales Promotion Regulation, the DMA would like to discuss the proposal with members who have experience of trying to implement pan-European sales promotion campaigns (see McDonalds promotion, right). The aim of the Regulation is to develop a legal system for the use of sales promotions across the EU.
