Results Europe was acquired as part of the purchase of Wegener DM UK and was offloaded in a sweeping restructure aimed at integrating its former lifestyle data rival into its existing operations.
Results Europe no longer fits with DLG's core lifestyle data business and duplicates some of the functions of the company's own insight and analytics unit.
DLG purchased Wegener DM from its Dutch parent in October 2006 and is now selling its database specialist division less than three months after the purchase.
Jeremy Whitaker, chief executive of DLG, said: "While analytics and database management are absolutely key to DLG's success, unlike the rest of DLG's and Wegener's business combined there is a very clear duplication of roles between the Results team and our insight division DLG DataConsult. Additionally the Results client base is principally B2B, and servicing this market takes focus away from our stated aim of excelling within consumer database marketing."
David Perkins, chief executive of Marketing Databasics, said: "Results Europe has a great track record in providing top-level intelligent analytics to its clients. The ability to combine Results' and MDB's skills in providing customer insight and campaign management, to support our clients by improving return on investment, is exciting."
