Developed by parents and experts, UKfamily.co.uk covers the whole parenting journey from pre-pregnancy to pre-teen, with a forum that allows parents to receive advice and share tips.

Online bloggers to the site, which goes live on 17 July, will include obstetrician Prof Lesley Regan and Linda Blair, a clinical psychologist and author.

Advertising and sponsorship opportunities will include traditional online display advertising media such as banners, skyscrapers, and MPUs, as well as the ability to target specific areas such as parenting by age/stage, advice areas, user-generated content, community and helpful how-to videos.

According to Disney, the parenting market is a multimillion pound advertising industry, with an estimated 6.5 million families with children under the age of 13 in the UK, and more than four million UK mothers regularly online.

The UK launch follows the rollout last year of US site, DisneyFamily.com.

Cindy Rose, senior vice-president & managing director, WDIG, Europe, Middle East and Africa, says: "The site brings together in one place, for the first time, the latest in online tools and information in a way that we believe represents true innovation in the market."
