Quest is to be the first of the Discovery channels to be broadcast on Freeview, when it launches on May 14.

As part of the deal, the Freeview website homepage will feature a variety of ads, aimed at giving visitors a taste of the factual, documentary and entertainment series lined up on the Discovery channel.

Channel and programme information will also feature in a special Freeview e-mail newsletter, which will be sent out to 100,000 people each month.

Adrian Mack, online manager at Freeview, said showcasing content from Quest was "a great way to bring our viewers closer to the action".
