Discovery Foods appoints Toucan for below-the-line push

LONDON - Discovery Foods, the Mexican food brand, has appointed Toucan as its below-the-line agency.

The agency's first work will be an on-pack promotion to support the newly re-launched food range. The promotional activity will appear on shelves early 2010.

Toucan joins Discovery Foods roster of agencies, which includes DCH, Vizeum and Wildcard.

Last month the brand announced that it had signed a deal with Living TV and the Discovery Channel to back its £2.3m overhaul.

The food brand will sponsor 20 hours of Living's weekday programming, as well as Discovery Channel's acquisition of Channel 4 series Come Dine With Me. The TV activity is being supported by a national sampling roadshow.
