The campaign, which breaks today, sees ‘no-nonsense' Walsh sitting in a van discussing how the products can benefit small businesses. The TV ads will be supported by radio, press, direct mail and online activity. The campaign was created by Geronimo, with media planning and buying by Mediacom.

Last month the RBS-owned insurance brand hired comics Stephen Fry and Paul Merton to provide the voices for its red phone and mouse brand mascots. The ads, by M&C Saatchi, promote Direct Line's motor, home, pet, travel and life insurance products.
