Having spent seven years working at Create in Leeds, and 12 years as executive chef at Harvey Nichols, Walton-Allen will be working with clients to help come up with creative dining ideas.
Dine Consultancy, which is part of event and venue company Dine, helps historic properties across the UK maximise their business potential. One such client is Rise Hall in east Yorkshire, owned by TV property guru Sarah Beeny.
The Dine Consultancy team includes managing director Daniel Gill and his father, Michael, who ran Leeds restaurant Pool Court for 40 years. It also includes Nicholas Rettie, founder of hotel management company MRMD, and Phil Nuttall, chief executive of chartered accountants Montpelier.
Gill said: "I’ve admired Richard’s work for a number of years and look forward to working on new and exciting projects with him.
"We’re both incredibly passionate about the industry and share a belief in the importance of high quality food and service, so the decision to bring Richard on board to join Dine’s network of consultants was unanimous."
