Digital: Royal Navy adds rolling news site

The Royal Navy is expanding its digital activity with the launch of a branded online news channel showcasing its various global operations.

The RN Live rolling news channel, developed by twentysix London, aims to keep consumers informed about the Navy's operations, including drug seizures, air/sea rescue missions and peace-keeping duties in countries such as Afghanistan.

The Navy is also expanding its website with the addition of an interactive map that uses Google Earth to provide 3-D coverage of its current and previous operations.

The mapping tool can be used to track the Navy's operational assets, including warships, around the world.
