According to Rajar figures for the July-September quarter, 10.5% of adults now own a DAB set at home, compared with 4.5% for the same quarter last year.
Listening via digital TV also passed a marker, with more than a third of all adults saying they have done it. Tuning in to radio on TV is done at least once a week by 19.9% of adults, up from 17.3% a year ago.
Listening via mobile phone is yet to take off, although the 6.1% of adults who have tried it is the highest proportion yet. A year ago, the proportion was 5.2%.
The internet is up with digital TV, with 19.7% of adults having listened to radio in this way, up from 16.1% a year ago. Station websites are increasing in popularity, with 28.3% having visited one compared with 25.3% a year ago.
Rajar also keeps track of listening statistics for digital-only radio stations, which include BBC services, Channel 4 and UBC-owned Oneword, and Virgin Radio brand extensions.
Digital-only stations reached more than 4m listeners for the first time, and notched up nearly 25m listening hours.
