DfT to distribute 'tiredness tests' to show driving dangers

LONDON - The Department for Transport is to run a campaign emphasising the dangers of driving while tired.

The activity, created by Iris, includes a "tiredness test" car sticker, which can be positioned on the back of a tax disc holder. The test includes a list of symptoms that indicate a driver needs to rest.

About 350,000 A5 leaflets including the stickers will be distributed in copies of What Car? magazine and through the RAC. The latter will send them via its direct sales team.

The DfT has also partnered with roadside restaurant chains Little Chef and Road Chef to offer drivers a discount on coffee.
