Department for Business, Innovation and Skills rolls out employment-rights campaign

LONDON - The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), led by Lord Mandelson, has launched a campaign encouraging vulnerable workers to know their employment rights.

The press, radio and online campaign, by DLKW, promotes a new central Pay and Work Rights helpline, 0800 917 2368, and an information website, Direct.gov.uk/payandworkrights.

Ads feature the strapline ‘You have a powerful friend', and communicates that the government can act on the worker's behalf to ensure their rights are met and get them back what they are entitled to

This newly-established helpline replaces the existing Agricultural Minimum Wage, National Minimum Wage and Employment Agency Standards (EAS) Inspectorate lines.
