Dennis shortlists three ad agencies for Project Squirrel

LONDON - Dennis Publishing has shortlisted three agencies, including DFGW, to pitch for the £4.5m launch campaign for its new car magazine, codenamed Project Squirrel.

Alongside DFGW, Dennis has shortlisted Boymeetsgirl and River Communications. The creative appointment for the title is due to be confirmed later this month.

The creative shortlist follows the appointment last week of BLM as the media agency for the soon-to-be-unveiled motoring title.

Brand Republic reported details of the launch in May. The title will sit somewhere between Dennis's current weekly Auto Express and Evo, its performance car magazine. No date has yet been confirmed for the launch, only that it will be in the second half of the year.

Dennis's circulations for its automotive titles were up 2% year on year in the latest ABCs. Auto Express was up 4.4% and Evo 10% year on year.
