Debenhams launches jeans promotion on Virgin Radio

LONDON - Department store Debenhams has launched a week-long promotion on Virgin Radio's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show aimed at raising awareness of the store's Jeff Banks Jeans Range.

The campaign, which was negotiated by Carat, features Banks describing celebrities wearing his jeans. Listeners can then ring in to guess the celebrity and win £1,000 to spend at the store with a personal shopper.
The on-air campaign is supported in-store by leaflets featuring extra clues to the celebrities’ identities and an online branded splash page on the Virgin Radio website. At the end of the week, the winners will be invited onto the show to compete against each other for a £50,000 E-type Jaguar.
This is the second such promotion run between the store and radio station. Last year’s Christmas promotion generated more than 15,000 on-air competition entries.
