Deadline extended for Radio Advertising Awards

LONDON - The Radio Advertising Bureau has extended the deadline for entries to the 2009 Radio Advertising Awards, in association with Media Week, to Friday 10 July.

As part of the competition, advertisers and their agencies may submit creative for a new radio ad, with the possibility of winning £500,000 of commercial radio airtime.

Categories include prizes for the best sound design, best direction, best ad by an existing advertiser, and best ad by a new advertiser.

Effectiveness prizes include awards for the best use of radio to drive sales, the best use of radio to drive awareness, the best use of radio to drive consideration, and the best use of radio to drive response.

There is also a Grand Prix for the most outstanding entry of the year and the media agency of the year.

The winners of the Radio Advertising Awards will be revealed on Thursday 17 September, at the Southbank in London.
