We are proud to announce that joining the stellar judging line-up, which will be co-chaired by Roisin Donnelly, brand director for Northern Europe for P&G, and Jonathan Mildenhall, CMO for Airbnb, is:

  • Suzi Williams, BT’s outgoing global brand and marketing director

  • Rose Lewis, co-founder and coach of Collider, an accelerator dedicated to marketing and advertising startups

  • Rachel Bristow, Sky Media’s director of client partnerships & collaboration - and former Sainsbury’s, then Unilever senior marketer, latterly VP global media data & analytics.

From technology and innovation to creativity, partnership and cultural shift, these Awards embrace the issues keeping the best marketers awake at night

Suzi Williams said the Awards were an "inspiring reflection of the exciting new confidence and momentum emerging in all corners of the industry".

"Finally, some awards that really do celebrate and promote all that is best about marketing as a force for growth, for positive change and for brand transformation. From technology and innovation to creativity, partnership and cultural shift, these categories truly embrace the issues keeping the best marketers awake at night. And they are board-level agenda items."

Williams said she particularly identified with the category Pioneer Inside. "Gone are the days of the rear-view marketer shrouded in spreadsheets and scared of his or her own shadow.

"Today’s brightest and best are courageous leaders unafraid to set new directions, take on new challenges and change the game – all in the quest to make things better for their customers. Marketing pioneers aren’t always popular of course and that’s even more reason to celebrate this important breed with an award category of their own."

It’s vital we do all we can to encourage and promote new thinking, courageous leadership and, heck, even a little sheer bloody mindedness in our brightest and best

She continued: "I remember once being told by a colleague, ‘You are like medicine: the organisation isn’t enjoying it right now, but you are making it better’. Marketing Pioneers are essential - and it’s a tough road. That’s why as an industry it’s vital we do all we can to encourage and promote new thinking, courageous leadership and, heck, even a little sheer bloody mindedness in our brightest and best. The world will be the better for it."

Rose Lewis said she a new approach to Awards was needed to reflect the evolving market. "As the future of marketing heads in a segmented direction, our recognition of the game changers and early adopters must as well. It is the innovators, who frame ‘the now’ in a new way that will be leading the charge of tomorrow.

"I am very excited to be a part of these inaugural Awards," said Lewis. "I’ll bring my MadTech expertise forward to the panel of judges and look forward to learning from the other judges and applicants."

This is for marketers, and their agencies, who are embracing change, evolving, creating. As a result they are crafting brands ready for tomorrow, supported by world-class marketing."
