DDB hires Denney and Henderson

DDB London has poached Dave Henderson and Richard Denney, the senior creatives behind the Carlsberg "the best pub team in the world" ad, from Saatchi & Saatchi.

Henderson and Denney, a copywriter and art director respectively, will join DDB as creative directors in February. They will report to Jeremy Craigen, the agency's executive creative director.

The pair have worked at Saatchis since 2004, where they oversaw campaigns for Carlsberg including "the best pub team in the world", which picked up three awards at this year's BTAA, and "litter", which won most innovative use of outdoor at the ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 Poster Awards.

Before that, the pair worked at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. Their credits include "jet" and "hotel" for Virgin Mobile, and the "animalistic" spot for Land Rover.

Craigen said: "Dave and Rich could walk into any agency they wanted, so I'm delighted they chose DDB. Their addition can only strengthen our creative reputation."
