Playle, who has been at the sales house for eight years, having joined as account manager, will report to DCM managing director Martin Bowley.

DCM has also hired Sufia VonBismark, vice-president of operations and planning, MTV Networks International, as its sales controller. She will be responsible for forecasting and inventory.

The appointments follow a restructure of the sales department at DCM to include three separate divisions; client services, media and creative agencies.

The sales house recently appointed Jill Owens from ad agency Grey to head its new creative agencies division.
