David Inglis leaves Shop Direct

LONDON - David Inglis, group trading director at Shop Direct has left the online retailer.

David Inglis leaves Shop Direct

Inglis, a former market development director at BMG before rising through the ranks at Asda, joined Littlewood Shop Direct Group in 2007 as group buying and merchandising director. He was promoted to his role as group trading director in January 2008.

It is not known whether Inglis has a job to go to.

It is understood Shop Direct now plans to bring in a separate marketing director for each of its brands, as well as create an overarching marketing director role to oversee all brand activity.

His final task at Shop Direct was to relaunch Littlewoods Direct as Very.co.uk.

This week, Shop Direct claimed that it plans to relauch the Woolworths brand as an online only retailer was going according to plan.
