Daily Mail unites readers with dating website

LONDON - MailOnline has launched its own dating service, MailDating.co.uk, which it hopes will bring like-minded Daily Mail readers together.

, which has been developed in house, employs a new image-based psychometric testing technology to help users find likeminded people in their local area.

While users can traditionally search by age and gender, the test also allows participants to view results by quadrants of personality type and proximity.

James Bromley, managing director, MailOnline, said: "We have a large audience across our titles, many of whom want to search for likeminded partners in a safe and trusted online environment.

"While the platform is fully featured, from video chat to instant messaging, the priority has been to make online dating a genuine and appealing experience."

"Our entry into the online dating market is not a revelation, but an obvious extension of our brand."

The launch of MailDating will be supported by an advertising campaign in the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and MailOnline.
