D&AD set to honour best in creative world in 'the book'

LONDON - The D&AD Annual, the showcase of design and advertising creativity, is to launch this month, featuring more than 740 pieces of work across 296 categories.

The showcase, which will launch on September 27, is dubbed "the book" by the industry and is the only permanent record of the best creative work each year.

D&AD Global Awards jury members made the selection from more than 24,500 pieces of work entered from 61 countries.

Michael Hockney, D&AD chief executive, said: "The 2006 Annual is a source of inspiration to creative practitioners everywhere.

"The book contains analysis of the best work in the world by leading creative practitioners and further coverage of D&AD's range of activities. The design incorporates key elements of our recent rebrand."
