Dawson and Pickering are believed to have no jobs to go to and are due to leave BBH before the end of the month.
BBH's executive creative director, John O'Keeffe, said an amicable decision had been reached over their departure. "We've come to a mutual agreement with Neil and Clive, and it seems that culturally things weren't working as well as we'd all hoped."
Dawson and Pickering joined BBH last year to work on a range of accounts, including Johnnie Walker, for which they had creative sign-off. Pickering said: "BBH is a great agency with some wonderful people and good accounts. However, it has a certain style of working which fits some people but didn't gel for Neil and I."
O'Keeffe said he had no immediate plans to replace the two, but was planning a review of the creative department.
