The Blackpool-based business will encourage attendees of the Lytham Proms Festival Weekend, taking place between 2 and 4 August at Lytham Green, to recycle their rubbish and keep the concert venue clean during and after the event.
The partnership includes teams of volunteers who will go around the concert site collecting recyclables, such as glass and cans, from audience members. On-site recycling facilities will also be provided.
Peter Taylor, festival director at Cuffe & Taylor, said: "We’ve always worked to the mantra of leaving Lytham Green in exactly the way we found it, however, this partnership reaffirms our commitment to doing this. We are working towards minimising waste from the festival and are partnering with Keep Britain Tidy to do this."
The new agreement is being marked on Thursday (2 May) with Blackpool Tower being lit green for the night.
During the three-day music event, Keep Britain Tidy’s national ‘Love Where You Live’ campaign will be promoted, which aims to encourage individuals to take pride in their towns and cities.
Phil Barton, chief executive of Keep Britain Tidy, said: "Our aim is to not only help ensure the Lytham Proms Festival Weekend is clean and green, but also to encourage music lovers of all ages to take care of their surroundings both at the festival and after they leave."
Rita Ora and Russell Watson will be headlining this year’s Lytham Proms Festival Weekend.
