LONDON - Crisis is promoting its 'Hidden Gigs' campaign through the innovative use of 'clean' graffiti on the streets of London.

Crisis uses 'clean' graffiti to promote Hidden Gigs

The charity has used the ‘reverse graffiti' technique to stensil its ‘Find the Music, Expose the Truth' logo onto dirty streets.

Crisis' Hidden Gigs campaign involves a series of concerts throughout May and June offering music fans the opportunity to see top acts perform in intimate and unusual spaces. The twist is that the location remains hidden until 24 hours before, to highlight the growing issue of hidden homelessness and the plight of people who don't know where they may end up from one night to the next.

The launch gig will take place on 5 May with a line-up including electropop band Hot Chip, electro DJ Erol Alkan and hip-hop electro trio Man Like Me. Other gigs will feature leading artists such as Starsailor, Pendulum, Dodgy and The Bluetones.

A video directed by Hot Chip's Al Doyle, featuring people affected by homelessness, will be seeded on various websites to promote the launch gig.

Other marketing activity has included posters and ads in London newspapers as well dedicated Facebook, Twitter and MySpace activity.

Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people. It is dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services as well as campaigning for change.
