Creativity in ethical communications to be recognised by new awards scheme

LONDON - Brands and organisations are to be recognised for the way they communicate their commitment to ethical practices in a new awards scheme.

The ceremony takes place on November 29 and, in keeping with the green theme, has been designated carbon neutral. It is being organised by , the first communications agency that specialises in ethical and environmental clients.

The Green Awards have been created to make people aware of the importance of including corporate social responsibility within the creative process, especially when brief creative agencies, and to promote a  greener lifestyle instead of wasteful consumption.

The awards, dubbed a "green tie" event, will be hosted by Penny Poyzer, presenter of the BBC series 'No Waste Like Home'.

The awards statues will be designed by Oliver Heath, who has appeared on 'Changing Rooms' and has an interest in sustainable design. They will be made from recycled materials. One Water, the ethical water supplier at Live8, is also supporting the event.
