Creative Lynx bought out by management team

LONDON - Creative Lynx, the design and marketing agency, has been bought by its existing management team from one of the original founders for an undisclosed sum.

The agency, which counts the United Nations, Manchester Business School and AstraZeneca as clients, was founded by brothers Stuart and Simon Wilson in 1986 in Manchester.

It now has an annual turnover of £3.5m, as well as 40 staff across 2 international offices.

Neil Martin, the agency's managing director, said: "We've got a very strong management team behind this, some of whom have been with Creative Lynx since the very early days.

"Stuart has established a very solid and respected business that we're all proud of and confident in taking forwards. He'll be staying involved as non-executive chairman so for now it's pretty much business as usual."

John Copping, associate director at the Royal Bank of Scotland which financed the deal, said: "Neil and the rest of the management team have impressed us with their drive and future vision for the company.

"They have an excellent understanding of the sectors in which they operate and are well positioned to grow the business."

Separately, Creative Lynx has appointed Angela Milner as account director to head up the agency's newly created financial and professional services division.
