Conde Nast to issue Traveller specials

LONDON - Conde Nast is extending a magazine beyond a monthly frequency for the first time this year, with two extra editions of Conde Nast Traveller.

Conde Nast to issue Traveller specials

Special Glamour-sized editions of the magazine covering Italy and Spain will appear in April and October, and the publisher is planning further specials next year.

The first of the special issues, on sale 27 April, is sponsored by Italian lager Peroni in a deal with Media Planning Group. It will showcase restaurants, hotels, shops and upmarket tourist destinations across the country. The publisher has secured display ads from Italian brands including Maserati, Giorgio Armani, Missoni and Citalia.

WHSmith's high street and travel stores will stock the magazine exclusively in the UK, bagged with a mini-guide to Relais & Chateux properties. Conde Nast will also distribute the title overseas.

The publisher also targeted luxury travel advertisers this month with Vanity Fair's second travel supplement and a 'hotels by design' supplement in House and Garden.
